About Us

Welcome to Blackrock Medical Practice

COVID 19

Please telephone the practice if you wish to make an appointment. We will then decide whether this should proceed as a telephone consultation or ask you to come down to the surgery.

For those that do need to attend please be reassured all patients are screened prior to arriving for symptoms of COVID 19 and rooms are cleaned after each patient attendance.

We wish to reassure patients we are running a near complete service and want to be informed of any medical problems you may have, please do not ignore symptoms nor feel we are too busy to deal with such issues. There remain plenty of problems to be dealt with outside of COVID 19.

Please visit https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/coronavirus/coronavirus.html for the most updated guidance on Covid -19 and useful patient information leaflets on self isolation and quarantine.

COVID 19 VACCINE PROGRAMME (FOR PATIENTS OF THE PRACTICE ONLY)

Update June 26th

PHASE 1 (over 70s)

All vaccinated

Anyone unvaccinated in this age range please contact the surgery to be placed on our vaccination list.

PHASE 2:

Medically at risk

We have now completed this vaccination cohort.

We made best efforts to contact as many patients as possible and completed a number of large vaccine clinics.

We would ask anyone who feels they are in an at risk group who has not had the vaccine or anyone over the age of 50 who has yet to be vaccinated to contact us (preferably by email- info@blackrockgp.ie) and we will  vaccinate you.

Age Cohort Vaccinations:

We are going to continue vaccinating based on age. We endeavour to contact people in the appropriate age cohorts to invite them for vaccination. Anyone who is a registered patient of the practice who proactively wishes to be added to this list may email us (info@blackrockgp.ie- please include COVID VACCINE in the subject line) and we will include you on the list. Please also include your mobile number and PPS number. We aim to run a clinic on the weekend of July 3rd, remembering you will have a second shot 4 weeks later.

Pregnant Women

This group has been identified as high risk if contracting COVID 19. As such they have been brought forward in the vaccine rollout.

Vaccination of this group will be arranged by your maternity hospital. This has been out of our control as directed by the HSE.

See link below for an update on the COVID vaccination programme for pregnant women in Holles Street.
